| Lets make it indoors! Bloody crappy all year weather!
Widen up the back straight and left corner before the V hump for some passing space and mid-corner harassment fun, as it is more like a 1/10th track in that area, that really limits passing up untill after the two humps and front straight. |

| Don't suppose we have dimensions of the track?
I could draw ideas in CAD... | |

| We could make the back straight full length and put a full speed big jump in there. Or take the 2 jumps out at start of home straight and move them down home straight and put a full speed jump in there. We still need to keep some tight technical parts to the track so we are getting practice at that. Maybe some crossover lanes where you jump over another lane. Maybe we could change up the 10 pack to flow in opposite direction so we are coming into pits from the right direction. so many ideas but having some dimensions would be good. What it comes down to as well is man power. That will determine what we actually do to the track as many hands make light work. | |

| We could all chip in and hire a dingo digger for half day perhaps if we are going to make big changes saves spending days on the end of a spade?? | |

| Deleted lst post more info on this picture. Track still running same direction as we run now Red squares are the existing jumps. Black squares are a high speed jump on back straight Green square is a step up jump. small 1st jump up to high part of jump (slow speed) Yellow squares are the 2 small jumps like the ones we have on back b4 the 180 degree corner look at track layout its very similar ive just moved a couple corners so we can use majority of existing jumps as well as both berms on stock back we keep. post some feed back guys. | |

| Couple of things to consider; 1. Be able to make the track run both directions. 2. Minimise oportunity for car breakages. Lets not scare off people that have RTR's, by breaking them on their 1st outing. 3. Be able to run 1/10th, should the need arise again. Thinking of all those Corr Trucks that Aaron mentioned have been sold recently. I'd probably get on myself if the numbers were there. Going off topic, but since we talking changes.... 4. Tradme auction for MRCCC Membership, If local people are looking for a car, we might be able to get them to the track before they by a cheap RTR 5. Club should get Brendon's Mum some flowers, and Dad a box of beer for Xmas, they are great hosts... | |

| Something we could do with almost no need for shovels etc..... Should only require moving some of the pipe/go-cart tires Anyone got access to a RC Heli and camera for a better arial view? | |

| Thats a nice setup we would have to reshape the rear burm to make two and could straighten the back right out with a full speed jump but as you said would require very little effort with spades etc to make a big differance. Exciting Stuff!!!! | |

| Thats a good idea about membership on trademe. That would give the club wicked exposure.
About jasons 3 points these are my answers.
1. Yea it would be good to be able to run track it both directions depending on how much work involved.
2. Minimise oportunity for car breakages. In the end thats the hobby you are gonna break stuff if we made a tame track with little jumps it would be a boring track and people from out of town wouldnt travel to race on it, we have to look after the people that come on regular basis. Full speed jump on back straight would be awesome and with a good landing ramp wouldnt break anything. The tracks a good level as it is.
3. Problem with making a track for for 1/8 and corr truck is corr truck cant make the big jumps so we have to tame the track down to suit making it not as exciting for 1/8. refer to answer 2. And the club is basically exculsively 1/8 nitro. Only cars turning up are 1/8 buggy/truggy so lets develop that side of club to make it better. They are the most popular classes in offroad at the moment as per nzrca poll. gas that is.
What are everyone elses opinion on this???
Yea aarons got it right we needa get together and nut a few things out.

| I would have to say that building a track to cater for a non participating class is....... well it goes without saying, it would best to stick with a track design that suites the majority of users vehicles. Kind of be like Burger King only selling Tofu Burgers and wonderin' why no one is turnin' up Please just make it fast, with big air, techy sweepers and did I mention fast? Keen on a pow wow to discuss further. Jim |

| Hi guys , yes we will have a talk about the new track ! There is no reason why a corr truck can't go around our track as it is !! the only jump that I can't do is the double before the straight , but there is a bigger risk , they do break easyer I still have three 1/10 off-road cars and no one to race with ! just because there are big jumps , dosn't mean you have to do them ! cheers Brendon | |
