New Track Layout

This is another idea i had for the track,
keeps the rhythm section and super jump as is, removing the double at the front of the straight will give us just a bit more to really give those motors a hard time

The orange is a small double running into the existing second double

The green is a double of some description that can be taken at high speed off the banked corner

The pink is a raised corner table top

Yellow is 3 spoke wagon wheel similar to the 2 we have now but need to be higher


Jumps etc can all be changed we just need a layout,

this is the layout that was roughly setout on Sunday

The top one looks cool !

Yeah, that top layout looks great.

Real nice change of flow.

Only trouble with the table top is that it's next to the gate, making it harder to get heavy gear it/out.
Unless it can go up the stopbank by the old stand....

I like the top example too, was that your idea Brendon?

The table top will require an extension of the fence in that corner, otherwise there will be a lot of vehicles flying off into the paddock

HBRCCC have used wind break netting around areas of their track to prevent fly-offs into the creek or through the fence etc.

We could organise a couple of working bees b4 next club day so we can race on it

i think Brendon is going to organise the tractor for the dirt, does any one have access to a plate compactor? otherwise we should look at hiring one for that weekend, might do a bit better job than just the roller

I believe we still have the netting from when we had the same table top on the original track, might have to change it to wind break stuff though, not sure Mrs Hodge will appreciate the dayglow orange safety netting

I would be happy to "sponsor" the windbreak for that corner, just need some measurements....

The wind break I have in mind is the nice dark green colour variety, which would be very much suited to the area ( and keep Mrs Hodge happy)

I could sus a plate compactor would just need a date. What about a safety net that we take down afta club day. so doesent matter what looks like.

I'm not available this Sunday (29th) or next weekend (4th, 5th)

Im out this weekend 28th-29th january got my brothers stag do on saturday. 11th feb going to canes vs crusaders at tui brewery saturday plus sunday club day. and 18th-19th feb got my brothers wedding otherwise im free rest weekends. We could spread it out over a couple of weekends. Keen for next weekend tho.

next weekend is a long weekend (waitangi day) so Sat or Sun might be good?

the new layout was looking good, once the jumps are all in it should be a nice challenge

Just went out for a quick couple of tanks.

I must say the layout is really cool.
Couple of things I noticed....

Our big double now has a shorter run up, it's going to put more emphasis on getting the drive though, and out of, the corner previous
The short straight with the small tripple jumps is totally different with the longer runup, I'm much more consistant with it, if not a full noise (That was just messy)

Can't wait to see the result of getting the back straight sorted.

Alex has just been out and sprayed the grass and weeds !!

Top track tooks awsome just let know when we are going to put some work in and Ill be there also if we need any steel pegs or framing etc and Ill sort it out

Tractor is all sorted for saturday morning , should be at the track about 10:00am

don't no if we have a truck yet ! working on it ,

bring some dirt moving tools !

i might be able to get the tip truck from work if the other one falls through
