Is anything happening to get the http://www.mrccc.org.nz from not showing as supppended?

New members may find it hard to get to the forums.
Another option might be to change our details at rcracer.co.nz to link directly to the forums.

I posted up a link. Its weird how it keeps doing that so i just bypass the front page.

we are working on it! There is a lack of information in the club files as to who actually hosts the site, when we find out who that is is should be back up asap. I am surprised the forum is still working

The forum isn't hosted with the site, Web host for the actual site should be kiwiwebhost.

However it won't be hosting, It is more likely the registration of the URL that has expired.

They send out regular emails when accounts are due, You will need to do a whois to find out whose email account it was registered to.

Also be aware that if you ask the web host to reinstate the site via their backup it will cost over $300.

I can whip you up a new better site for the same cost as the last one I gave you, $0.

Hi Josh , has been a big mess , trying to sort it out , there was no record on the club bank accounts of payments !! and I tryed to get the host details off the old member, but not to helpful ! ,

what would be the best thing to do ?? get a new host and start again ?? still paying for the domain name with Bignoise !

Leave it with me for a few days, I'll talk to Kiwiwebhost and see if they were doing the hosting, Its who I recommended last time the issue came up.

If so then I suggest we just continue with them, they are cheap, have packages to suit, and are generally very stable.

If all goes to plan then a site can be back up by the end of the week.

You would think the hosting company would have put up a site saying "pay your bill, here is how to do it"....

They weren't helpful in the slightest were they.

I'll reply back to you via email, the club will need to pay for a hosting package ($52) and then we can get them to point the domain name to the site I upload.

This is how the whipping is going so far, Its just a rough set out, Haven't done a spell check and the content is obviously at the direction of the club but I had to write something.

This is the first time I have used a background image so I need to check it out on a few different screens to see how it scales.

I'll email you a couple of screen shots to the email above, rather than clogging up the post.

Not sure what the intended results are but I'm using IE9, my desktop is 1680x1050.
The background image moves depending on window size. Perhapes a larger resolution image that we could scale down to window size?
The detail section is a static size, It centers on the screen until the screen is narrower, then it cuts off the right hand side.

I really like the orange/grey colour combo.

Sweet, I'll ditch the background image for the time being I think, I can tinker around with that after the site has content, It was more done out of curiosity.

I had hoped that the image might be scaled to fit a widescreen by the browser, I don't really want to upload a huge image that most won't even see.

Any update on the website Josh ??

I have been in touch with a web hosting company, There are a number of suitable packages depending on allocated budget (aiming as low as possible)

I did request some other configurations that they were unable to do for us which held things up a bit. I'll send you through an email with the most suitable hosting package.
